About Groundswell Studios

Groundswell Studios is a full service educational facility located in S.E. Portland, Oregon. We offer lessons in guitar, voice and songwriting.  The studio has two rooms complete with professional recording equipment and a P.A. system.  Emphasis is placed upon developing good technique, setting and achieving attainable goals, and having fun.  Students have performance opportunities through quarterly recitals. Recitals help students polish new material, and gain performance experience.  Groundswell Studios also gives students the opportunity to make demos, and professional quality recordings.  Whether you want to learn to play the guitar, become a better vocalist, or if you are an aspiring songwriter, Groundswell Studios is a supportive and creative environment that can help you express yourself through music!

Lewis Childs, founder of Groundswell Studios, has over fifteen years experience teaching children, teens and adults.  Lewis has a diverse musical background encompassing Rock, Folk, Blues, Americana and World Music.
